Alistair Fulton

Alistair Fulton is director of New Ventures with Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division, where he focuses on identifying, developing, and deploying emergent large-scale or disruptive business opportunities in the entertainment, gaming, and connected device related spaces. He is part of a core incubation team that spans operational, strategic, user experience, industrial design, product planning, and technical expertise within the CTO/CXO organization headed by J Allard.

Alistair has almost 20 years' experience in the development and execution of product, service, and operational strategy and has worked across both consulting and industry. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was a leader with Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations / Telecommunications, Media &Technology practice in New York, focusing on new product development and competitive strategy in the entertainment and wireless spaces from 2006 to 2009, prior to which he served as SVP Strategy & Business Performance for Telefonica O2 UK, the U.K. business unit of Telefonica O2 Europe. At O2, he led the development of the company's turnaround strategy following its de-merger from British Telecommunications in 2001, the financial and operational restructuring of the business and the development of a customer experience strategy which helped propel O2 to become the best-performing telecom stock on the LSE between 2001 and 2005. Whilst at O2, he also led the transformation of O2's customer management, content and service delivery, retail, and billing capabilities in one of the largest replacement/outsourcing deals undertaken in the European wireless industry to date.

Alistair holds a BA Honors in Economics & Law from Liverpool University, U.K.
