As president of Regence BlueShield, Jonathan Hensley leads strategy and execution for Washington consistent with Regence's direction and is responsible for performance of Washington sales, provider contracting, and government and community relations.

From 2004 to 2008, Jonathan was vice president of Sales for Regence BlueShield. Previously, Jonathan held positions as Pacific Region CEO, UnitedHealthcare; general manager and vice president, Premera Blue Cross; and vice president, Cigna.

Jonathan serves as the development committee chair on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, Seattle chapter and sits on the boards of the American Heart Association, Pacific Mountain Affiliate; the Seattle Chamber of Commerce; and the University of Washington, Tacoma. Jonathan also chaired the Light the Night, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2009 Walk.

Jonathan holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
