Kai De Altin Popiolek is a private business development consultant based in Alexandria, Virginia. His company serves clients with trend and technology scouting, market entry analysis, regulatory affairs, and strategic alliance building on both sides of the Atlantic.

Kai is the marketing director (Europe) for the Strategic News Service (Xing), is the director operations (Europe) on the steering committee for SNS Project Inkwell, and serves on the advisory board for the Future in Review Conference.

Kai was born and raised in East Berlin. He finished his degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Rostock and continued his education after the fall of the Berlin Wall at SAIS Bologna, Johns Hopkins University. Kai has a lovely wife named Giordana and enjoys every moment of his spare time with their two boys.
