Cynthia Figge's expertise is in new venture development and sustainability as an executive for major North American companies for over 20 years. Cynthia Figge is COO and co-founder of the startup CSRHUB, a website that aggregates and organizes data and knowledge on the social, environmental, and governance performance of over 5,000 companies to provide ratings to the marketplace. She is a forerunner and thought leader in the corporate sustainability movement who in 1996 co-founded EKOS International, one of the first consultancies integrating sustainability and corporate strategy. Cynthia has worked with major organizations, including Boeing, BNSF, Coca-Cola, and REI, to help craft sustainability strategy integrated with business.
Cynthia is also co-founder of Arrowsmith Technologies Corp., a seed-stage, Seattle-based biotechnology company. Prior to founding EKOS, she was an officer of LIN Broadcasting / McCaw Cellular, leading new services development; started a new "greenfield" mill with Weyerhaeuser; was part of the turnaround team for the New York Daily News; and with New Ventures, Cynthia helped diverse nonprofit organizations in New York City start for-profit ventures to support their mission. She serves as advisor to media and technology companies, and served as president of the board of Sustainable Seattle.
Cynthia has presented to the Sustainable Brands conference, the SRI in the Rockies conference, and also to the SNS Future in Review conference over the past seven years.
Cynthia received her bachelor's degree in Economics from Lawrence University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Cynthia lives in the Seattle area.
