Car engineering is currently utilizing techology to increase fuel effiency. Free market competition is going to out drive regulation with respect increasing fuel efficiency.

Additionally the field is working to minimize hardware and focus on the integreation of software to improve the costumer experience. Software integration is being used to persue a safer driving experience through traffic management as well as a more user friendly interface. “I want the settings in my car to work ubiquitously with my life. My new car should com equipped with the settings that I put effort to create in my old car and should know who I am the first time I use my key.” The integration mechanism is a point of concern, and defining the interface that defines the relationship that the costumer will have with car is still up for debate. Mobile devices representing a promising prospect to act as a representation of the consumer to the car.

Cynvenio’s technology is aimed at substantially improving the treatment of cancer patients via the comprehensive molecular analysis of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) present in their peripheral blood and collected with a simple blood draw. The information derived from this “liquid biopsy” can inform physicians about disease progression or recurrence, patient resistance to treatment, and to formulate a targeted therapy for each patient.

“Up to now CTC platforms have been primarily concerned with finding and counting CTCs, which are certainly very rare and challenging to isolate. Our approach from the onset was to develop a system capable not only of efficient CTC isolation and enumeration, but to also provide the molecular characterization of the target cells. This allows cancer researchers and physicians to make clinically relevant decisions about their drugs and their patients,” said Cynvenio Biosystems’ CEO and Director, André de Fusco. “In the future this technology has the potential to become part of the standard of care for its ability to validate cancer therapies, reduce adverse reactions in patients, and increase the efficacy of cancer treatments.”

Easy Energy Systems was founded in 2006 to address the US energy focus on clean energy, the need to replace dependence on fossil fuel with renewable Biofuels, mandated ethanol usage around the world to reduce greenhouse gases, and the revitalization of rural America.

EES has developed a Modularized Ethanol Production System (MEPS^®) that is fully self-contained, fully automatic and pre-built in a factory to be easily shipped anywhere in the world and assembled like Lego ^™ blocks to build any size ethanol plant. Using proprietary technology, the company has successfully produced cellulosic ethanol in its pilot plant and is focused on the entire waste to energy market sector, utilizing such feed stocks as waste milk byproducts, waste paper, waste soda pop, waste wood and waste crop residue such as corn cobs.
