		<description>I&#039;m no futurist.  For the most part I live in the here and now.  I have however given a little thought to what we&#039;ll see.  Yes, I also see a generation that values thrift, at least thrift in comparison some other recent ones.  I believe there&#039;ll be difficulties with inflation as we climb out of our difficulties due to the money being printed without additional supporting value.  I believe China will come out of this with greatly increased global financial clout.  

In regards to optimism concerning humankind&#039;s ability attack problems with relevant and timely solutions, I have high optimism.  I believe humankind, when faced with seeminly insurmountable problems, will apply their considerable talent to find a solution appropriate to the situation.  My brother thinks we are headed to a crest beyond which is a societal downslope with no relief.  I don&#039;t think so.  Perhaps the road to that relief will be rocky, perhaps even disastrous, but I believe that eventually we humans will overcome difficulties and forge ahead into a bright future.</description>
